    At the Port of Leith Distillery we want to produce outstanding single malt Scotch whisky. To do that, we need to find some very special barrels to mature our whisky.

    Established in 1727, Martha’s Family has specialised in producing the finest, complex ports from the Douro Valley for generations.

    This White Port is a field blend of Malvasia fina, Viosinho, Gouveio and Donzelinho grapes. The wine is first fermented on its skins for a week before fortification with 1 part grape spirit to 3 parts wine. It is then matured for an average of 3 years in 10,000 litre old oak barrels.

    Tasting note: Sweet grapes and vibrant blossom on the nose. On the palate, it has rich flavours of apricots and stone fruits, with a medium intensity and body.
