Deep in the soil worms weave through delicate strands of mycorrhizal funghi. This intricate network not only serves to share essential nutrients between trees but it also forms the orchards communication system which allows them to warn each other of dangers such as insect attacks or drought. All too often industrial farming disrupts and kills these fungal communities by spraying with chemicals designed to eradicate crop damaging fungus without a care for the myriad benefits of nurturing healthy, living soil.

In the orchards we care for, what is hidden underground will forever be just as important as what we see above.

Spicy with hints of warm sponge pudding on the nose, this cider has the tiniest hint of a sparkle and a sweet clove flavour in the mouth. Pair with roasted squash followed by ginger ice cream.
