    Rural method, single orchard selection

    Ditcheat Hill is an orchard of exceptional terroir, overlooking the wide Brue valley. This cider is a blend of the best fruit from this orchard. 2022 was very dry and extremely hot, and the fruit was typically very high in sugar, tannin, and aromas, giving some very concentrated ciders. This is the most concentrated Ditcheat Hill made yet and is definitely a good candidate for cellaring. All of the usual aromas are in play here just with the volume turned up!

    Traditional orchards, hand picked fruit, wild yeasts only and no additives.

    Region: Somerset, UK

    Blend: Yarlington Mill (40%), Browns (40%), Ashton Brown Jersey (15%) and Sweet Coppin (5%).

    On the nose – Ripe apple, orchard floor, wild strawberries

    On the palate – Powdered sugar, toffee apple, oolong tea tannins

    A hearty stew, butter bean cassoulet, any opportunity you get to travel somewhere on a tractor.
